The first thing to attract the eye on the external enclosure IB-234U3 is its beautiful surface. Naturally noble aluminum is used to ensure toughness, along ways with the candied optic. Inside the brushed metal is enough space in order to install a 2.5" SATA Hard disk up to 9.5 mm high.

The connection is established via a fast USB 3.0 port which is of course downwards compatible with the previous versions. A lightning speed of up to 5Gbit per second can be achieved while using USB 3.0. This is sufficient for huge amounts such as video collection. The Icy Box needs no special driver and is delivered ready for usage thanks to the fact that it supports Plug & Play as well as HotSwap. A small LED displays information regarding the status of the IB-234U3.
